Founded in 2014 Big Hug Brewing was the coming together of minds, desires and ambitions. Three friends who wanted to play their part to help drive craft beer forward.
Now run single handedly by Matt on a day to day basis they are London based but call Brighton home. ‘Hobo’ brewers they don’t own their own brewery - but that’s their story.
That’s what makes them a little bit different. They hope to be a stepping stone and an introduction to the category for many but to also be experimental – create beers that are individual, unusual and innovational but always with the finest of ingredients at the heart of what they do.
A brand with a social conscience at its core they have always given a little something back. They support the homeless charity Only A Pavement Away with £5 a keg/cask and 5p a can being donated via the Work For Good scheme from sales of their gluten free Pave The Way Pale Ale.
They also support the youth homeless charity YMCA DownsLink Group in Sussex and Surrey and run their own initiative called Hugs4Snugs to support local homeless charities nationwide at their tap takeover events.

Notes of citrus, melon, peach, stone fruit and a touch of pine along with oats, wheat and barley combine to give a good body and fuller mouth feel for a lower abv beer.
